Am Series Season Changes & Financial Support

We have made a couple of changes to next years Season, which we believe will be amazing improvements for everyone involved. Check some of the updates below.

Financial Support
Its a tough time at the moment, and we are looking to start with small steps towards supporting people and levelling the playing field. Travel can be tough. Going forward, families and skateboarders on an Australian healthcare card will be able to get 50% off all entry fees for competing. This will assist many skateboarders to be able to get to and from the events and put money back in their pockets.
How to apply:
Just Email a photo of your healthcare card to subsidy@australianskateboarding.com and which email you use for your liveheats account, and we will send you a code to use on liveheats for entering all year.

Leaderboard Prize Pool
The 22/23 leaderboard (rankings) will now have prize money in the following divisions:
9 & Under Male
9 & Under Female
12 & Under Male
12 & Under Female
15 & Under Male
15 & Under Female
Mens
Womens
How it works:
Over the course of the year, entry fees for each division are accumulated and a large % of these goes into a kitty to be won at the end of each year. Splitting it by division makes the prize pool reflective of how hard the competition is, with divisions with more people having more money.
Winners will be those at the top of the leaderboard, with all results counted towards the annual award. This will encourage participation and reward those for effort and consistency. Rumble events will have double the points of Am Series Events. If you have your birthday and move up a division and you are still leading at the end of the season, you are still eligible to win.

Multiple Divisions
The way the current seasons roll out, if you are 12 and turn 13 halfway through the season, you have to move up to 15 & Under. Losing all ranking points and starting again. Skateboarders will now be able to enter 2 divisions during the year and on the same day during the events. This will also help skateboarders know when the right time to permanently move up a division will take place. Please bare in mind, whatever your main division is, you can only compete in the next level up, for example, a 12 & under competitor can also compete in 15 & under, but not 12 & under & Opens.
