Partnerships bring outcomes for Pacific Islands in Skateboarding
A multi year journey in developing Pacific Nations in Skateboarding is starting to show dividends as the first batch of Equipment from the Pacifika Cup has been taken out to Papua New Guinea.
2022 - So it begins
William and Mikaele from Fiji make the first step in 2022 and head to the Rumble on the Reef.
2023 - Solomon Islands joins the party
Carlos Adomea from Solomon Islands joins the 2023 Rumble on the Reef, connecting with his Fijian friends.
2024 - Pacifika Cup Launches
A collaboration between the Rumble, FMS Group, TSG and Postal Skateboards to develop a world first Pacifika cup was created for the 2024 Rumble on the Reef event.
This competition was held between Fiji, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, with the winning nation receiving skateboards, helmets and pads to be sent to their home country to help develop skateboarding.
Papua New Guinea came home as the Inaugural winner, with Josh O’Loughlin taking our first place on the saturday night.
2025 - Equipment arrives in Papua New Guinea
FMS Group, flew into PNG to hand deliver all of the skateboards, helmets and pads to Skate PNG, who are doing all the development and coaching programs in Port Moresby.
