We’re back to launch the tour with Stop 1 of the season at the epic Christie Downs Skatepark.

AM Series DOUBLE POINTS Day

When: Friday 19th January from 3pm onwards
Where: Christie Downs Skatepark, Morton Rd, Christie Downs.

Scheduled Competition
9 & Under - Mixed Division Heats
12 & Under - Mixed Division Heats
16 & Under - Female Division Heats
16 & Under - Male Division Heats
Finals are the same order but after all heats are completed

Best Trick Jam

The Southern Rumble will host 2 Best Trick Jams on the Stair Set
One jam each for our registered Junior & Opens competitors.

Skater Information

All registered skateboarders competing will not need to sign a waiver, but as part of our wellbeing improvements to athletes, competitors are now insured against injury by Flip Insurance.

Where to stay

COAST Motel & Apartments
Located beach side in Port Nourlunga South, Jacqui and her team proved quality service with affordable accommodation to all, the motel is about a 10 min drive from the skate park.

BROADCAST

The event will be broadcast from approx 3pm to 8pm on January 20. Click the Button below on the day to watch the broadcast.

The Commentary team for the broadcast is South Australia’s Beau Hinge and Queensland’s Andy Williamson.

SANCTIONS & RANKINGS

This event is officially part of the Skate Australia sanctioned competition series. This is the first event in history sanctioned by both Skate Australia and the Australian Skateboarding Federation.
Points from this event will go into a national rankings system to help Skate Australia identify talent for the Olympics.

Mens and Womens Are the only events ranked. You don’t need to be a Skate Australia member or be trying to go to the Olympics to enter. These events are for all skateboarders and are focused on fun and entertainment. What it’s doing is providing that pathway opportunity for those interested. Events will operate as normal.
