Whitsundays Ramped up here to stay

Skateboarding descended into the Whitsundays on the weekend, with a 2 day bowl and vert event taking place in Airlie beach and surrounds.

It kicked off with a bang we’ve now got a returning Transition event for the Annual Calendar

Bowl was day 1 at the Cannonvale bowl.

Juniors and Opens took place in overall impression jams which were well received by both the competitors and the crowds. This was backed up by a best trick Cash grab with a ton of heavy hitters busting out for cash.

Marley Rae took it home on day one

Day 2 we went straight into the vert event, with woodstock vibes on private acreage with food trucks stalls & a festival Vibe.
Juniors and Opens Jams took place with some amazing skating, as well ad best trick and highest air competitions, with Local Freddie Hazelton pulling a podium across both days and taking out the highest air.

Angus Campbell Amongst others put on a show in the Juniors

The destination was primo for getting together, with after parties overlooking the harbour, skaters ocean rafting, Whitehaven beach & more.

Stay tuned for the best parts in the highlight videos coming your way soon with the full experience of the week.

We’re already excited for next year and will have release dates soon.

The competition formats were well received and will continue to roll out for bowl, and the age changes and limits on divisions were highly successful and will continue going forward.
