The Rumble Tour

The future of skateboarding in Australia. A 6 stop series with 5 qualifying events and final championship showdown to finish the season.

The Rumble on the Reef started out as the QLD Street Championships in Mackay. Due to its growth, it soon became the nationals and a mainstay on the calendar.

Grassroots competitions were used to qualify athletes to compete.

As the Olympics came in and skateboarding needed a big move forward, the plan for Rumble to become a pro tour was soon established. Rumble on the reef is now the largest skateboarding event in the southern hemisphere.

With the support of Tourism and Events QLD and other stakeholders the plan began. In 2020, The second stop was launched at Rockingham in Western Australia. Each year a new stop will be added to the tour until a 6 series pro tour is established in Australia.

The goal is to provide an opportunity for athletes in Australia to make a living through skateboarding and competing.
